CALIFORNIA DIAMOND ENERGY SOLUTIONS has been approved as an installation contractor for the PECI directed Energy Smart Jobs Program targeting refrigeration customers in the commercial and retail sectors. The program will provide audits, rebates and coupons to enable no-to low cost installation of LED refrigerator case lighting with motion sensors and refrigeration controls in medium and large supermarket, grocery stores and other retail businesses, such as florist and pharmacies.
CDES will be coordinating with its utility partners such as PG & E, SCE and SDG & E to deliver additional energy efficiency savings through existing programs with parallel rebates and incentives. The program is funded by the California Energy Commission using American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) money and has state-wide application.

CALIFORNIA HAS INTRODUCED A NEW STANDARD for 100W incandescent lamps, one year ahead of the rest of the USA.
A new federal law introduced on January 1, 2011 in California sets standards for the energy efficiency of incandescent light-bulbs sold in the state. The law states that a 100-watt bulb manufactured on or after January 1, 2011 must use 28% less energy (i.e. a 100-watt bulb may not use more than 72 watts) in order to provide the same amount of light (in lumens).
This standard does not affect the existing supply of incandescent light bulbs stocked in retail stores or incandescent light bulbs already in use. read more...
